Fultondale, Ala. — An Ashley Furniture HomeStore has opened here on Lowery Parkway in the new Colonial Promenade.
The 35,000-square-foot showroom features architectural elements crafted by regional artisans, including water effects and an oversized set of doors from the historic Phipps mansion in Palm Beach, Fla. The store also features a safari-themed renovated bus covered with jungle scenes and animal statuary, with a TV and video games inside to entertain children.
Store owner Allen Woods "Woody" Marks is an Alabama native from a family with 50 years in the furniture industry. This is his fourth dedicated Ashley store in Alabama. There are over 340 HomeStores in North America, and the network is ranked No. 1 on Furniture/Today's list of Top 100 U.S. furniture stores.
Ashley Furniture Inds., the largest supplier of furniture to the U.S. market, is based in Arcadia, Wis., and offers a broad line of home furnishings.
