Duralee Fabrics
Bay Shore, N.Y. — Fabric supplier Duralee Fabrics has promoted Joel Rothstein to director of international sales, a new position.
Rothstein, who had been director of European sales, will assist Lee Silberman, senior vice president, who heads the company's global sales efforts.
Leather Italia
Leland, N.C. — Cammie Ratcliffe has joined Leather Italia U.S.A. in sales and marketing.
She has worked in the industry for more than 20 years, including some 18 years in sales and as librarian for Murrow Furniture Gallery, Wilmington, N.C.
Ratcliffe reports to Mark Parris, newly appointed president of sales.
Sunbury Textile Mills
New York — Fabric sales representative Mike Grimsley has joined domestic fabric source Sunbury Textile Mills as its Southeast sales rep, a position formerly held by Blake Lewis. Grimsley, a 14-year industry veteran, most recently was a senior sales and marketing account manager at fabric source Tietex Interiors. At Sunbury, he will work from the High Point showroom in partnership with Richard Mann.

Woman of the Year
Phoenix — Debbie Gaby, president of mattress retailer Sleep America, has been named 2007 Woman of the Year by Women of Scottsdale, a social networking organization.
Gaby will be honored at the annual Woman of the Year Luncheon on Feb.15.
"It is truly an honor to win this award," said Gaby. "I have been going to Women of Scottsdale luncheons for 10 years. I have found it is a great place to meet successful business women who want to build our community."

Top 100 Thought Leader
High Point — High Point University President Nido Qubein has been named by Personal Excellence magazine as one of America's Top 100 thought leaders, joining the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Deepak Chopra and Stephen Covey.
The magazine selects the "100 top minds in leadership" based on professional preparation, character, principles, personality, performance, experience, expression and influence.
Qubein is known internationally for his motivational lectures and books on leadership and business. In his three years at HPU, he has raised $100 million for the university to invest in academics and student life.
