St. Petersburg, Fla. —
The Florida Home Furnishings Representatives Assn. has honored Jayson Friedman of Coconut Creek, Fla.-based Carls Furniture as its 2007 Distinguished Retailer of the Year.
He was recognized for his involvement in product development with vendors and working with his sources "to create a magnificent atmosphere in all 11 Carls furniture stores in Florida," the FHFRA said. "He has the ability to make all feel welcome in his presence, which filters down into the organization from Carls' management team, to the sales associates, who adore him, to the entire support staff. Jayson's devotion to the industry is surpassed by no one."
Several major manufacturers were represented at the awards luncheon, held at Café Bella Sera here with a sold-out crowd of representatives, family and business partners.
