By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 27, 2008
Los Angeles — Actor and director Clint Eastwood has filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court here accusing Palliser Furniture of illegally trading on his name without permission, www.contactmusic.com reported last week.
The lawsuit contends that Eastwood's name is used in a home theater seating line that also includes actors Marlon Brando, James Cagney, Gary Cooper, Charles Bronson and Sean Connery.
The suit seeks unspecified damages and an injunction preventing further advertising, sale and distribution. Palliser officials were not immediately available to respond.
