Toronto Fabric Fair set for Feb. 9-11
Will feature wares from 32 mills
Gary Evans -- Furniture Today, January 20, 2010
TORONTO — Thirty-two mills will be represented at the Toronto Fabric Fair set for Feb. 9-11 at the Paradise Convention Center here. The semiannual event, in its sixth year, is often referred to as "Showtime North," although it is not related to the Showtime fabric fair held in High Point.
The show here is operated by the sales representatives of textile companies who are accommodating their customers in the region.
"It's not meant to conflict or compete with Showtime," said Fred Hanes, who represents Lady Fabrics. "It's intended as a complement to that show. The Toronto show has been most helpful for northern manufacturers who were unable to make the trip south.... It's purely a service we want to provide to our customers."
Mills to be represented include American Century Home Fabrics, Annabel, Barrow Inds., Bartson Fabrics, Cone Decorative Fabrics, Conso Trimmings, Covington Fabric and Design, Craftex by Victor, Dicey Fabrics, Direct Textiles, Duro Decorative Fabrics, Golding Fabrics, Gum Tree Fabrics, JEnnis Fabrics, King Textiles, Lady Fabrics, Marcovaldo NY, Master Fabrics, Morgan Fabrics, Paragon Fabrics, Peachtree Fabrics, Portfolio Textiles, Raxnon Fabrics, Ramtex, Regal Fabrics, Robert Allen@Home, Shuford Mills, Sunbury, Victor Group and Zenda Leather.
For hotels, the sponsors suggest calling The Paradise Convention Centre, (416) 661-6612.
