Toronto Fabric Fair set for Feb. 9-11

The semiannual event, in its sixth year, is often referred to as "Showtime North," although it is not related to the Showtime fabric fair held in High Point.

The show here is operated by the sales representatives of textile companies who are accommodating their customers in the region.

"It's not meant to conflict or compete with Showtime," said Fred Hanes, who represents Lady Fabrics. "It's intended as a complement to that show. The Toronto show has been most helpful for northern manufacturers who were unable to make the trip south.... It's purely a service we want to provide to our customers."
