LAS VEGAS — Case goods and leather upholstery source Excelsior Designs is moving into a new 4,000-square-foot showroom for the Feb. 1-5 Las Vegas Market. The space, World Market Center C-184, is slightly smaller than the company's previous space on the third floor of Building C. Excelsior said that area now primarily hosts hospitality and other contract furniture exhibitors that will take part in the new Inspiredesign event, Feb. 1-3.
The Amityville, N.Y.-based company offers a line of upper-end, Italian-made contemporary and transitional case goods for the Excelsior and Nicole Miller Collection brands. Features include exotic veneers and multi-step finishes. It also produces leather upholstery marketed under the Casa Novalia brand.
In the new Las Vegas space, the company said it is surrounded by other high-end companies. It also said the new space allows for improved product display and traffic flow.
"We are very pleased with our new showroom location and the synergy of being in an area of upper-end case goods and upholstery lines," Steven Kayne, Excelsior's president, said in a statement. "We are committed to growing our western market and are excited to see what the future brings at the World Market Center in Las Vegas."
Meanwhile, the company also said it is temporarily pulling out of the High Point Market. It had occupied space D-1110 in the International Home Furnishings Center for a number of years.
Kayne said the closure of the High Point space isn't permanent, and "allows us time to focus on some strategic growth plans to be announced later."
