Salt Lake City —
Several employees of retailer R.C. Willey, which is based here, won a trip to Italy through their achievement in sales of Leather Master products distributed by Multimaster North America.
"R.C. Willey is one of our biggest customers," said Doug Vunder, Multimaster vice president of sales and marketing.
The weeklong trip was sponsored by Greensboro, N.C.-based Multimaster and its parent company, Uniters, based in Montecchio, Italy. The trip included a factory tour to see the production of Leather Master goods.
The group of 26, mostly R.C. Willey managers and sales associates, also visited Venice and Verona.
"The trip went perfectly until the very last day when all of the return flights were delayed, forcing an overnight stay at the airport in Philadelphia," said Vunder. "All of the R.C. Willey crowd accepted the fiasco with good humor and were on their way back to Salt Lake City the following morning."
