HFIA offers members shipping discounts

DALLAS —

The Home Furnishings Independents Assn. has entered into an agreement with Profitsystem's Profitfreight division to offer shipping discounts to its members.

The discounts apply to inbound and outbound shipping, third-party shipping, residential delivery fees and fuel surcharges, and are designed to help HFIA members stay competitive and aggressive in providing value to their customers, according to the association.

“It's vital in our difficult economic environment that our members cut their expenses whenever possible,” said Mary Frye, president of the 1,500-member association.

Profitfreight Director Layla Berglund said that in addition to freight discounts, HFIA members will receive free freight analysis, online quotes, support from freight experts, and a guarantee.
