City of Hope honoring Jerome's

LOS ANGELES —
Jerome's Furniture founders the Navarra family, along with the retailer's CEO, Lee Goodman, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the City of Hope's National Home Furnishings Industry organization.
It will be presented at the group's 19th Annual West Coast Golf and Tennis Tournament at Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club in Orange County, Calif., set for June 7.
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes Jerome's Furniture for more than 50 years of service to its community, philanthropic contributions and business accomplishments. The golf and tennis event will benefit City of Hope, a California medical center dedicated to research and treatment of cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
Founded in 1954 by Esther and Jim Navarra, Jerome's Furniture is a family-owned and operated business that has served generations of consumers in Southern California. The retailer has five showrooms, an e-commerce Web site and a distribution center in San Diego.
“We are honored to receive such a prestigious award from City of Hope,” said Jerome's Chairman Jerry Navarra. “With thousands of people who will be diagnosed with cancer this year, it's important that we support City of Hope's efforts to quickly turn promising scientific discoveries into new treatments for patients who need it.”
