NEW YORK —
The Greater New York Home Furnishings Assn. is sponsoring three seminars at the Karel Exposition Furniture & Accessories Market in Edison, N.J., next month.
The program, themed “How to Survive in Today's Tough Economic Environment,” will feature Julius Feinblum of Julius M. Feinblum Real Estate, Patrick Cory of Cory Home Delivery and Steve Muench of Storis Management Systems.
Feinblum will discuss “How to Take Advantage of Today's Real Estate Values,” explaining how retailers can cut expenses including rent, taxes and common area maintenance, and take advantage of lower rents by replacing poor-performing stores.
Cory will talk about cutting transportation and delivery costs and improving customer satisfaction.
Muench will highlight “Top Technology Trends to Maximize Retail Business,” discussing the “benefits of an integrated retail solution, social media as a networking tool to drive sales, mobile technology and e-commerce,” among other subjects.
The Karel exhibition runs Feb. 7-9 in Edison at the New Jersey Convention Center. The seminars are free, but advance reservations are appreciated. For information, call the GNYHFA at (212) 725-0091 or e-mail greaternyhomefurn@gmail.com.
