BK Home launches four buying programs

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 27, 2008

Case goods importer BK Home Furniture has created four buying programs aimed at simplifying the buying process for its dealers.

The programs address the different needs of various retailers, said Davis Beaston, senior vice president of sales. They include:

  • BK-Global, which lets customers buy standard or high-cube container shipments of product made in Indonesia. This option lets customers mix containers and pull from inventory in BK Home's Indonesian warehouses.

  • BK-Global Select, to purchase less than full containers with a 500-cube per collection minimum. Product is shipped from the factories to BK Home's warehouse in High Point, then to the retailer.

  • BK-Premier, which allows customers to order from the High Point warehouse. Inventory is ready to ship to customers within 72 hours and no minimum order is required.

  • BK-Choice, which lets customers buy mixed containers of product from Mexico. Like BK-Global, this program also has minimum order requirements.

"These four new programs are designed to offer our customers maximum flexibility and choice so that they can determine which buying venue best suits their needs," said BK Home CEO Bill Kemp. "Our plan moving forward is to continue to analyze all aspects of our business and develop strategies that make working with BK Home effortless and mutually beneficial as we partner with our customers to further grow our business."
