ASID awards three design scholarships

Chicago — The Illinois chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers has announced three winners of the Richard R. Smith Memorial Scholarship. Each is a full-time student who received $1,000 to offset fees for tuition, books and supplies for the current school year.
The winners are all attending school in Chicago: Jennifer Jimenez and Megan Lopez at the Harrington College of Design, and Tyson Schrock at the Illinois Institute of Art.
"The judges were impressed with the skill level Jennifer, Megan and Tyson demonstrated in their applications, and are very excited to welcome them as professional interior designers in the near future," said James Landa, 2007-08 ASID chapter president. "All three are deserving of the scholarship and we congratulate them on a job well done."
