Kincaid welcomes retailer to televised charity event

Los Angeles — Representatives of Douglas Furniture, a Newhall, Calif.-based retailer of Kincaid Furniture, were guests of Kincaid at the recent nationally televised show "Frosted Pink," which raised awareness of cancers that primarily affect women.

The two-hour show, which aired on ABC in October, highlighted Olympic and world champion ice skaters performing alongside Grammy-winning artists.

Erica Pida of Douglas and her daughter Claire attended the event and got to meet and be photographed with many of the show's stars, including skaters Nancy Kerrigan and Oksana Baiul.

"We really thank Kincaid for sending us to the 'Frosted Pink' show," said Erica Pida. "It was so much fun, and we met so many interesting people. The show was great, and we were delighted to be there."

Backstage interviews were hosted in a stylish setting showcasing home décor products with the Laura Ashley brand, including furniture from Kincaid. Among those interviewed were Rascal Flatts, Anastacia, Rosalynn Sumners, Peggy Fleming and Kristi Yamaguchi.

The "Frosted Pink" campaign was the beginning of a two-year initiative. This year, ABC will air "Pink with a Twist" featuring gymnasts, actors and musical artists.

Laura Ashley is a committed sponsor to "Pink with a Twist."
