Home Meridian moves into High Point HQ
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 27, 2008
High Point — Home Meridian International, parent company of case goods importers SLF and Pulaski Furniture, celebrated the opening of its 20,000-square-foot headquarters here Tuesday with an open house.
The facility at 3980 Premier Drive in north High Point houses 25 senior management and support staff along with design, sourcing and marketing departments for SLF, Pulaski, contract division SLH (Samuel Lawrence Hospitality) and juvenile furniture producer Creations.
Among the facility's features is a conference room with video conferencing capabilities, which allows executives here to communicate with associates in China and company offices in Phoenix and Pulaski, Va.
Home Meridian was formed in 2006 with the merger of Pulaski and SLF. It chose High Point for its headquarters location last summer and opened the office in November.
President and CEO George Revington said High Point was the ideal location for the headquarters.
"High Point is the home furnishings capital of the world and we will be able to take advantage of the tremendous resources here, from designers to photography studios to an experienced pool of talent from which to recruit," said Revington.
