Company closing after 29 years
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 29, 2008
CONOVER, N.C. — Pembrook Chair Corp. said Tuesday it was closing after 29 years of business, and its line will be produced by Southern Furniture.
Southern will continue to market products under the Pembrook brand, and sales and merchandising functions will remain separate from Southern, according to Mike Delgatti, executive vice president, sales and marketing for Southern.
Delgatti said the transition of Pembrook’s operations to Southern was “a strategic decision that will result in significant growth for both companies.”
