Mebane, N.C. — Bedding producer Kingsdown has promoted Lee Hinshaw to president of international sales, a newly created position. He had been vice president of international sales since 1996.
Hinshaw, who has been based in Asia since 2003, will oversee all retail channel sales outside of the Americas. He continues to report to Pat Flippin, Kingsdown's president and chief operating officer.
"Lee has done a tremendous job increasing sales and distribution in over 20 countries worldwide," said Flippin. "Lee's commitment to excellence, his boundless energy, and industry experience all contribute to the great success that he has generated throughout his career at Kingsdown."
As an 11-year bedding veteran, Hinshaw has been responsible for significant growth of Kingsdown distribution in Asia, Australia and the United Kingdom, the company said. He also has led several cross-functional efforts at Kingsdown, most recently training and sleep education initiatives in U.S and international markets.

Seattle — Case goods marketer A-America has appointed Kaylene Wetzstein as director, sales administration, with responsibility for all customer service and sales support functions.
Wetzstein, who reports to Dean Banks, vice president of sales, fills the job previously held by Julie Randall Carroll, who has left the company.
"Julie helped us grow to be the company we are, and we are very, very appreciative of her 24 years of service. We thank her and bid her farewell with all our very best wishes," said Fred Rohrbach, president.
"Kaylene has an extensive background in the customer service area both prior to and during her tenure at A-America," he added. "Starting in our Customer Care area, she soon distinguished herself and was tapped to lead our Credit Services group. With this dual background, she is perfectly positioned to respond quickly and efficiently to the challenges facing our dealers in this uncertain economy, and offer outstanding service."

Houston — Kim Roberts has joined Mattress Firm as director of brand development.
She was most recently at EarthLink and earlier worked at companies including Comp-USA, The Home Depot, Madden Communications and Simmons.
She replaces Diane Peterman, who has left the company.

Aaron Rents
Atlanta — Sales and lease ownership retailer Aaron Rents has promoted Paul A. Doize to vice president, real estate, Aaron's Sales and Lease Ownership Division. He previously was vice president, controller of the division.
Doize has more than 11 years experience with Aaron's, starting in 1996 as division controller and advancing to vice president, controller in 2005.
