Las Vegas — Designer Candice Olson and importer Revco International announced plans last week for a case goods line, beginning with an occasional offering in High Point in April.
"Revco International is very proud to partner with Candice Olson, one of today's most respected interior designers," said Glen Revivo, president and CEO. "Her signature style incorporates creativity, practicality and timelessness."
In addition to her design business, Olson hosts "Divine Design," a reality home-décor show on HGTV. Her show is the network's most-watched program with an average weekly audience of more than 9 million viewers.
Revivo said Revco will have 29 occasional pieces in the line in its High Point showroom. Some pieces also will be shown in room settings at Norwalk, Olson's upholstery partner. The group will feature five finishes new for Revco, and Olson said it will bring a modern edge to traditional styles.
Olson said she doesn't do a lot of licensing because she wants to find companies that are a good fit. She lauded the job that Revco has done since it was founded in 2000. The company owns a factory in Indonesia, which allows it to keep a close eye on quality, said Greg O'Neal, who has led the company design team for the past five years.
Revivo said the Candice Olson line will be a collection of fine design at an affordable price. He said it has a feel of Henredon's Barbara Barry line, without Henredon's pricing.
