Jeff Davis launching Klaussner retail stores
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 3, 2008
Asheboro, N.C. — Jeff Davis left Klaussner Home Furnishings last week to launch the company's first wave of retail stores called Klaussnerhome, the manufacturer and importer said.
Davis, who was senior vice president of marketing and business development for Klaussner, plans to launch as many as eight franchised Klaussnerhome stores in North Carolina. The rollout will start this spring and is expected to take three years.
The Davis stores will be among 15 to 20 Klaussnerhome stores the company expects to be franchised by the end of the year. The company said earlier that there could be 100 stores open in the next five years. The lifestyle-based stores are part of a large re-branding effort launched by the company last year.
Klaussner has not named a replacement for Davis. He will have a consulting role with Klaussner through his new company, Innovision Group, which he said will look at other licenses and franchises and may eventually move into residential and commercial development.
