International Bedding revitalizes Origins line

LAS VEGAS —
Top 10 bedding producer International Bedding is premiering a new and revitalized Origins line of eco-friendly specialty sleep sets.
The Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based producer said it is building on the success of the previous line, introduced in 2007. The new line emphasizes comfort and aesthetics at prices ranging from $799 to $2,499, a tighter price focus than in the previous line. It continues the eco-friendly story built into the original Origins line, the company said.
The line will be shown in International Bedding's World Market Center showroom, B-946.
IB said the new line incorporates several key features:
-
Pin-core and horizontal airflow channels built into the core are designed to provide maximum ventilation and breathability, for improved hygiene and temperature stabilization.
-
It is available in a full assortment of memory foam and Talalay latex versions, as well as a model combining memory foam and latex.
-
It is constructed using IB's Vertical Support System, with the layers of the mattress designed to provide conforming support at the surface and more support near the core of the mattress.
-
It utilizes four-way stretch heavyweight rayon panel fabrics. Those fabrics enhance the performance and feel of the bed, IB said, adding that rayon is a cooler sleeping material and is naturally fire retardant.
-
The covers also incorporate silk and cashmere fibers. The silk increases cool air circulation, while the cashmere fibers deliver maximum insulation and breathability.
“We're delighted to showcase the new Origins line at the Las Vegas Market,” said Eric Johnson, senior vice president of merchandising and marketing at International Bedding. “These beds offer a phenomenal value at every level. We've incorporated top-of-the-line, green materials and earth technologies into the most durable, elegant and comfortable mattresses imaginable.”
He said International Bedding remains focused on addressing environmental and ecological issues, both in its day-to-day business operations and in its mattress offerings.
The company is expanding its use of natural, renewable and earth-friendly bedding components. For example, it recently incorporated soy into all of its fully recyclable, PBDE-free and CFC-free foam products. And the producer is also using more natural latex materials throughout its product lines, officials said.
