Italmond Furniture starts rebranding campaign

LOS ANGELES —
High-end manufacturer Italmond Furniture has named MVC Agency to direct its rebranding campaign, to help the company reflect the design lifestyle of its clientele.
Italmond, which works with designers and the hospitality industry, was acquired by Armen Living in 2008. It is known for designing and manufacturing traditional and transitional pieces.
MVC will redesign Italmond’s logo and redevelop its Web site and its branding messages. The Web site will allow users to submit custom orders, including materials, colors and fabrics, along with reference images — options the existing site did not have.
The Web site was expected be launched by late January, said Kevin Kevonian, president.
“It refreshes the image of the company. It’s been around for 30 years with the same logo and the same look,” he said.
Italmond also plans to release new designs that include upscale contemporary pieces. It is introducing two dining collections and other items in Las Vegas.
“The economy not been friendly to the furniture industry. We’ve thrived catering to higher-end clientele, which hasn’t been as affected,” Kevonian said. “We feel as through there’s a positive outlook for 2010. We’re focused on getting the message out there.”
