Natura debuts GreenSpring

LAS VEGAS —
Specialty bedding producer Natura is expanding its offerings with its first line of innerspring mattresses. The company, known for its green and natural products, is calling the new line GreenSpring.
The line, which debuts at Natura's World Market Center showroom here, A-950, features individually wrapped coil mattresses and comfort layers of wool, cotton, latex and soy-based foams.
“As a leading manufacturer of natural latex and foam mattresses, we saw a need in the market for coil mattresses paired with more natural components,” said Ralph Rossdeutscher, president of Natura. “GreenSpring mattresses bring the beauty of natural sleep to consumers who prefer a coil mattress.”
The company's GreenSpring lineup is composed of nine mattresses in three groups that feature varying amounts of wool, latex and coils. Each group has a unique support zone story to answer different challenges related to pressure point relief, the company said.
Natura said the coils are made of recycled steel and are tempered and pre-compressed. Then they are individually wrapped before being formed into a complete coil unit. Because each coil functions independently of its neighbor, the bed provides contouring support, according to Natura.
The innerspring units are encased in foam to provide a smooth transition from the edge of the bed and across the entire sleep surface, the company said.
Natura said the line offers a number of advantages to sleepers. It said that motion transfer “is almost completely eliminated” with the GreenSpring line. The beds are designed to provide a deeper and more restful night of sleep, the company said.
