New pillows, protection products in spotlight

LAS VEGAS —
New sleep sets aren't the only bedding products in the spotlight at this bedding-rich market here. A number of new sleep accessories join the bedding mix. The introductions range from rigid steel foundations to comfy pillows to sanitized silver mattress protection products.
Latex International, which bills itself as the world's largest producer of Talalay latex pillows, is launching its Celsion brand of temperature-regulating Talalay latex pillows and Pillows for the Body under the company's Rejuvenite brand.
Rejuvenite, launched at retail in the U.S. three years ago, is one of the fastest-growing sleep products brands, the company said. The line of pillows and toppers provides personalized comfort for the neck, head, and body and comes in a variety of constructions to meet the varying needs of sleepers. The new Celsion pillows and Pillows for the Body fit into the company's ComfortMatch personalizer system, designed to help consumers select the perfect pillow and sleep surface for their size, feel preference, and sleep position.
Rejuvenite is introducing worldwide the new Celsion temperature-regulating Talalay latex pillow program. The patent-pending pillows come in high- and low-profile designs. They are exclusive to Latex International and provide the benefit of helping a sleeper maintain a consistent body temperature throughout the night. This technology is scientifically proven to create a cooler, more balanced sleep surface, which helps cool down a warm body and warm up a cool body, the company said.
Pillows for the Body feature Talalay latex comfort layers, in both plush and firm feels, wrapped in high-end circular knit ticking. Retailers can place them on any mattress to provide upgraded comfort, pressure relief, and temperature regulation. Pillows for the Body guarantee long-lasting comfort and conforming body support without quilt materials, barriers and body impressions, Latex International said.
Making its Las Vegas debut is Forever Foundations, a line of steel foundations manufactured by Felix Manufacturing, based in Compton, Calif. The foundations meet the needs of today's consumers by providing a socially conscious mattress foundation made entirely of recycled steel, the company says.
Some Forever Foundations models provide for additional storage space under the mattress. Former waterbed industry veteran Mike Echevarria is heading up sales efforts for the company.
Returning to the Las Vegas Market is Sleep Studio, which offers a line of ViscoFresh enhanced memory foam pillows and mattress toppers under its new SleepJoy brand. The company's ViscoFresh product was designed to maximize air circulation to virtually eliminate heat retention, and to eliminate chemical odors. It uses an open-cell construction, ventilation, and a blend of natural green tea to achieve those benefits, officials said.
Pillows start at $29, while toppers start at $99.
FabricTech International is introducing a sanitized silver system that safeguards the mattress and pillows from bacteria, mildew and fungi with silver ions, the company said. The new line will be called FabricTech Elite. Mattress protection products will retail from $119 to $169, while the pillow protection product will retail for $39.
