MONROE, Mich. — La-Z-Boy has signed an endorsement deal with the American Chiropractic Assn. covering the La-Z-Boy line of reclining furniture. The chiropractic group said it opted to endorse the La-Z-Boy line because of its customizable reclining options with exclusive benefits, including no added back strain, multiple reclining angles, more comfort options and total body support.
"Eight out of every 10 Americans will suffer from back pain at some point in their lives," said ACA president Rich McMichael. "Relaxing in a supportive chair in a reclined position can provide the necessary positioning to get that much-needed rest."
Doug Collier, La-Z-Boy's chief marketing officer, said consumers have frequently told the company how its reclining furniture has helped relieve back pain.
"It's helpful to know that America's leading chiropractic organization also recognized the benefits of our reclining furniture," Collier said, noting that the ACA "represents the highest standard of quality in chiropractic care."
