Green designs make a splash at Las Vegas Market

Introductions target growing demand for eco-friendly furnishings

Exhibitors introduced a variety of new, eco-friendly “green” furniture at last month’s Las Vegas Market. The introductions features sustainably harvested woods, organic cottons and other natural or recycled materials. Here are a dozen highlights from Furniture/Today’s showroom visits during market. 

Earthright, new from Capel, is an eco-friendly braided rug made of certified, organically grown cotton.

This room divider made of recovered tropical hardwoods is part of Asian Art Imports’ Rustic Contemporary line.

Butler’s introductions included a chair-side chest and display table made of reclaimed wood.

Part of Arin’s Stonehurst collection, this farmhouse table features plantation-grown mango wood in a multiple-step finish.

The GeoEthic bedding collection, from Italy’s Magniflex, features natural oil-based memory foam mattresses. Mattresses have cores made of Memoform, which features aloe and castor plant oils in some models.

The Keller chair-ottoman combo from Rowe features an eco-friendly fabric.
