AeroBed expanding distribution to furniture, bedding outlets

Schaumburg, Ill. — Aero Products International, maker of the inflatable AeroBed, is expanding distribution to furniture and bedding outlets.
The air bed producer, based here, entered the new channels with a showing at the recent Las Vegas Market.
"Our commitment to providing consumers with a quality night's sleep has challenged us to branch out into new channels where we can best showcase our products," said Tim Horne, CEO of Aero Products. "We believe that AeroBed's move into furniture and bedding outlets is just a natural progression that will provide consumers with a quality temporary bedding option in a traditionally higher priced marketplace."
The company describes itself as a producer of temporary bedding, which it says offers the quality, dependability and portability to turn "any room into an AeroBed room."
At the Las Vegas Market, the company showcased its latest model, the Raised Comfort Zone bed, which features a 24-inch high sleep surface and the company's patented air pump and valve technologies. That bed is available in twin ($199), full ($259) and queen ($299) sizes.
The original AeroBed was introduced in 1992. The company's products are distributed through a variety of retail channels, including big box stores.
