Violet Konkle joins The Brick Group as president of business support
Will oversee customer service, distribution and information systems

EDMONTON, Alberta — Veteran retail executive Violet Konkle has been named president of business support for The Brick Group, a new position for Canada's largest full-line furniture retailer.
Konkle will lead The Brick's customer service initiative as well as its supply chain, distribution, information systems and financial services divisions. She will report to group president and CEO Bill Gregson.
"We are very pleased that Vi has joined The Brick," Gregson said. "She brings a proven track record of results-oriented leadership and solid experience in the Canadian retail industry. She is a great addition to The Brick team."
Konkle most recently served in various capacities with Mississauga, Ontario-based Wal-Mart Canada, including stints as chief customer officer and chief operating officer.
Prior to joining Wal-Mart, she was executive vice president of Atlantic-Wholesalers, a division of Loblaw Cos., where she had full responsibility for business operations in Atlantic Canada. She also previously served as senior vice president of distribution, supply chain planning and industrial engineering for the national grocery chain.
