Klaussner Furniture to show in High Point

But will still have upholstery in Asheboro in April

Gary Evans -- Furniture Today, February 9, 2010

ASHEBORO, N.C. — After 30 years in its own showroom at its Asheboro headquarters, Klaussner Furniture will begin a transition to a showroom in High Point for the spring furniture market.

The company plans to show product from its international division in High Point at the next market, which runs April 17-22. It will display its imported case goods, occasional and leather products on the first floor of Market on Green, 212 East Green Drive.

The transition will be completed at the fall market with upholstery and other domestic products shown on the fifth floor of Market on Green. Until then, those products will continue to be shown in Asheboro.

Klaussner CEO J.B. Davis said that the market's traffic patterns have changed, and said the move will make the company's products more accessible to buyers. This will be the company's first showing in High Point.

The company has a 100,000-square-foot showroom facility in Asheboro.
