Elkhatib leaves Violino post

High Point — Michael Elkhatib has left as vice president of sales and marketing for Violino, a contemporary leather upholstery manufacturer.
Elkhatib is joining a South American manufacturer of residential upholstery, not currently trading in the United States. He will oversee merchandising and sourcing in China.
Elkhatib who was with Hong Kong-based Violino for nearly two years, was previously with Niroflex, a Brazilian-based tannery and leather seating manufacturer. He remains based in High Point.
A search is on to fill his post at Violino.
