HTL International in larger High Point Market space
Will show in Plaza Suites in April

HIGH POINT — Leather upholstery resource HTL International is moving to a new 50,000-square-foot showroom in Plaza Suites that will allow the Singapore-based company to display a wider selection of its products.
The new showroom, Plaza Suites 400, is being designed by the German architectural firm AikaDesign and will more than triple the amount of space HTL had been using in two separate showrooms in nearby Furniture Plaza.
"This is a very exciting time for us," said Brian Parker, president of HTL Furniture, the company's U.S. business unit. "For the first time, we'll be able to give people a good idea of what we're all about."
Although it will have a single entrance, Parker said the new space will have distinct display areas for each of HTL's three divisions - HTL, Trends and Domicil, a new division featuring European contemporary, transitional and coastal styling.
The HTL line concentrates on middle and upper-middle price points, while Trends is primarily a container-only business focusing on promotional price points, Parker said.
He said the new showroom will be ready for the spring market, which begins April 17, but will not be open for premarket, which starts March 15.
