KEM offering incentives to reps
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 24, 2008
Aventura, Fla. — Karel Exposition Management said it has begun offering an incentive to manufacturers' representatives who deliver signed contracts for exhibit space at Karel furniture and accessory shows.
KEM is the largest U.S. producer of regional "drive-in" industry trade shows.
"This takes the concept of outsourcing directly to the ones who are most connected to others in the industry that need exhibit space," said KEM Founder Larry Karel. "In effect, we are making manufacturers representatives our partners. They are most likely to know others who could benefit from KEM shows and so this becomes a win-win arrangement."
Commissions will be paid immediately, the company said.
KEM says it provides cost-effective venues for exhibitors and buyers to conduct business. By offering the incentive program, KEM believes that the hundreds of people who sell at markets like High Point, Las Vegas, Tupelo, Atlanta and Dallas, could also conveniently sell exhibit space for the KEM markets while on the road. "It may even pay for the trip itself," said Karel.
"Working through manufacturers' reps doesn't replace our own in-house team, but it will help to generate more awareness for buyers and sellers," he added.
For information, contact Sherry Fleischner, KEM's director of sales, at (305) 792-9990. The company has a Web site at www.kemexpo.com.
