HICKORY, N.C. — High end upholstery and case goods resource Highland House has announced it will launch a licensed collection with California furniture and interior designer Barclay Butera.
The furniture line will debut in April 2014 with 70 to 80 pieces of upholstery, case goods and accent furniture for the living room, family room, bedroom and dining room.
"Barclay Butera's energetic color sense, his popular California-chic style and his sophisticated-yet-livable design ethic are an ideal fit for the direction the Highland House brand is taking," says Parker Goss, the company's president. "We anticipate great things from our association with Barclay. His name resonates on many levels with both retailers and designers as well as with consumers."
Goss added, "Barclay's remarkable sense of color and his ‘traditional-with-a-twist' design approach will give us a new anchor for the traditional side of our business. We also see Barclay's fresh, more casual way with traditional furniture filling what we feel is a void in the marketplace."
Butera said he believes Highland House is a perfect fit for his company's lifestyle brand.
"Being a partner with Highland House, a company that is steeped in a tradition of quality and excellence, is a dream come true for all of us at Barclay Butera Inc.," Butera said. "We are excited at having representation with such a time-honored furniture company. It will be a thrill and honor to offer this new collection to our loyal, long-time customers and new accounts alike."
