Singapore show fully booked
Four-day even opens March 9

SINGAPORE — Sponsors of the Singapore International Furniture Fair/ASEAN Furniture Show expect a full house of some 500 exhibitors from around the world when the show opens here on March 9.
Officials said the four-day event, which runs through March 12, is fully booked, making it the largest in the fair’s 25 year history.
They said the show is benefiting from a change in dates, with this year’s exhibition several days later than previous shows. That puts it closer to other Asian shows, including the International Famous Furniture Fair in Dongguan, China, which takes place March 16-20.
Singapore’s largest exhibitors include leather and wood resource Halo Asia of Hong Kong (www.haloasia.com.), last year’s winner of the prestigious IFFS/AFS Best Stand Award; high-end leather upholstery source Violino (www.violino.com.hk), also of Hong Kong; Hongkong Shanghai Leather of Belgium (www.hslc-furniture.com), specializing in leather, velvet and microfiber furniture along with a range of bedroom, dining and living room furniture; Koda (www.kodaonline.com) of Singapore, a 19-year exhibitor here and one of the largest dining furniture exporters in Southeast Asia; and China’s EM Export, which will showcase a wide range of goods including bedroom and dining room furniture.
