ITMA moves Showtime up a week to June 1–4
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 2, 2008
High Point — The International Textile Market Assn. has rescheduled the next Showtime fabric show here for June1-4, a week earlier than the previous dates.
"A majority of our members polled indicated to the board that a change in dates are warranted," said Catherine Morsell, ITMA director. The original date conflicted with the NeoCon contract furniture show and a Jewish holiday.
Meanwhile, the ITMA also said it will hold its annual membership meeting at the String and Splinter Club here at 8 a.m. April 9, during the High Point Market.
Discussion items on the agenda will include new ways the organization can market membership and increase participation and attendance at the twice-yearly Showtime, such as optimizing the venue or adjusting the schedule.
Reservations are required for the meeting and may be made by contacting ITMA at (336) 885-6842 or by e-mail at itmashowtime@northstate.net.
Founded in 1990, the ITMA is a nonprofit trade association that produces Showtime for its member companies, mostly home furnishings textile manufacturers. The event is held twice a year in High Point.
