PICO RIVERA, Calif. — AICO/Amini Innovation Corp. has named veteran Los Angeles-area sales representative Lew Nick to the new position of retail product and marketing consultant.
He will be responsible for identifying emerging trends in the marketplace, and relaying to the full-line furniture source the needs of retailers in sales, marketing and product development.
During the recent Las Vegas Market, Nick also was honored with AICO's Lifetime Achievement Award for his role in the success and growth of the company.
He received a standing ovation from the AICO sales force and staff.
“I never forget people that give me a helping hand, or that work passionately,” AICO founder and CEO Michael Amini said in presenting the award.
“I've been in the biz a long time,” Nick said upon receiving the honor. “I went down to Michael's warehouse when he was first starting, and he asked me if I would help him. I agreed because I saw so much potential in him.”
Over the next few weeks, Nick will transition from sales to his new position. His partner, Gina Azilazian, will assume responsibility for both her current accounts and Nick's.
