Ari Gasner joins Wearbest as Bella brand manager
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 22, 2010
Wearbest Sil-Tex Mills President and CEO Irwin Gasner announced that his son Ari Gasner has become brand manager for Bella-Dura fabrics.
Ari, who represents the fourth generation to join the family-owned mill, enters the textile business after five years in the commercial real estate industry.
“Ari will be an extreme asset to the company; he will bring a new flavor and bright ideas coming from a different industry,” Irwin said. “He is a natural born merchant.”
Gasner's goal is to expand the presence of Bella-Dura fabrics in the casual industry which he said, “will add new patterns and fresh colors on top of a 100% cradle-to-cradle fabric.”
Bella-Dura fabrics are inherently and permanently stain-resistant, anti-microbial, anti-fungal and bleach cleanable; the fabric exceeds 50,000 double rubs and 1,500 hours lightfastness. Bella-Dura is MBDC certified silver and is the winner of the 2008 Earth Minded Award.
In the coming months, Wearbest will partner with distributors to offer cut yardage programs, which will allow for shorter lead times.
