Seattle — Northwest bedding retailer Sleep Country USA has opened a new store at Renton Landing on North 10th Street in Seattle.
The new, 5,000-square-foot location is the tenth store that Sleep Country USA opened in 2007, bringing the total count of its stores in Washington and Oregon up to 71.
The company plans to open more stores this year.
"2007 has been a banner year for Sleep Country USA, marked by aggressive expansion in existing and new communities," said Terry Horsley, vice president of brand strategy.
Founded in 1991, Sleep Country USA's stores feature brand-name mattresses and premium adjustable beds, futons and wood and metal accent beds. Its line includes more than 50 mattress models from brands such as Sealy, Simmons, Spring Air, Stearns & Foster and Tempur-Pedic, as well as the Sleep Number bed by Select Comfort.
Sleep Country USA's philanthropic efforts include support for local foster children. Customers that wish to support this effort may donate essential items at the new store location.
