DALLAS — Loloi Rugs is introducing a new licensed line of scatter and home accent rugs based on the paintings of artist Kate McRostie.
The new products will be on display in Loloi's showroom during the New York Home Fashions Market, March 8-12. McRostie will visit the space at 295 Fifth Ave., Suite 1009, on Tuesday, March 9, to help launch the line and meet with marketgoers.
In the tradition of European muralists, McRostie's style reflects the colors and textures of Tuscany, Normandy and Provence, according to Loloi. When translated to the hooked scatter and accent rugs, the results are what the company describes as rich, stylish and on-trend.
"We scoured the marketplace to find something fresh and new for the scatter category, which often suffers from throwaway designs with limited or kitschy style," said Loloi Rugs owner Amir Loloi. "With these new Kate McRostie designs, we are bringing our customers a higher level of style, complexity and refinement."

Her designs, inspired by antiques, world travels, flea markets and more, are licensed on products of more than 40 manufacturers in an array of categories, including gifts, stationery, dinnerware, home and kitchen décor, holiday, paperware and partyware.
"It's exciting to see how Loloi has translated by paintings into such beautiful rugs," said McRostie. "The unique textures and high quality of the rugs combined with fine designs really offer something new to consumers. I am so pleased with the finished product and look forward to a long relationship with Amir and his team."
Loloi also shows at the High Point Market, the Las Vegas Market, the Dallas Market Center and Americasmart in Atlanta.
