Hendrickson named president of Valspar

Minneapolis — Gary Hendrickson has been promoted to president and chief operating officer of finish supplier Valspar.

He had been senior vice president heading the company's architectural and global wood coatings divisions and the Asia Pacific region. He retains responsibility for branding. As president, Hendrickson succeeds William Mansfield, who remains chairman and CEO.

In addition, the company said Paul Reyelts, executive vice president, has stepped down as chief financial officer and will retire at the end of 2009. Lori Walker has been promoted to senior vice president and CFO from vice president, treasurer and controller.

Valspar also has promoted Tracy Jokinen from assistant controller to vice president and controller, and Tyler Treat from assistant treasurer to vice president and treasurer.
