Barcalounger pres. to retire

Rocky Mount, N.C. — Barcalounger President Wayne T. Stephens has announced that he will retire from the motion furniture specialist effective May 9.
Stephens joined the company as president in 1992 and has held additional administrative positions within the company during his tenure there.
He joined Barcalounger after serving as president of Doctor Pet, a national pet store chain.
"We would like to thank Wayne Stephens for his years of dedicated service to Barcalounger. He will be missed by all Barcalounger employees, sales representatives and customers. We wish him all the best in his retirement," said Tom Yow, CEO of Barcalounger Home.
The company has not announced a replacement.
