Aspenhome debuts ASAP quick-ship program
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 2, 2008
Phoenix — Full-line furniture source Aspenhome is introducing a quick-ship delivery program called ASAP, promising to get furniture to retailers anywhere in the United States in 10 days or less. The program began March 1.
ASAP, an acronym for Aspenhome Ships as Priority, enables dealers to order from a list of open-stock inventory made either overseas or in the United States.
Included in the in-stock program are most home office, entertainment, bedroom, dining and occasional products, as well as selected leather products. The company said the ASAP program complements its current Savings Express Container Program, which has delivered products from its China warehouses for several years.
"With our new ASAP 10-day land delivery program, retailers do not have to invest in large inventories of product to keep their customers happy," said Dave Heard, executive vice president of sales. "The additional ability for a retailer to more quickly test a new Aspenhome collection, with this new delivery process, will jump-start the flow of product when a new collection is introduced."
Bill Colegrove, CEO and general manager, said the company tested the program extensively before offering it coast-to-coast "because we know how important consistent execution of this level of service will be for both our reputation and that of our retailers."
