CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
The International Sleep Products Assn. Expo here has something for everyone in the mattress industry, offered by suppliers ranging from A (A. Lava & Son) to Z (Zhejiang Huajian Mattress Machinery Ltd.).
All told, there are about 160 exhibitors at the Charlotte Convention Center, showing everything from machinery to mattress covers, and from innersprings to the latest in polyurethane foams.
A number of mattress licensing groups exhibit at the show, aiming to expand their roster of licensees. Exhibitors in that category include Eclipse and Eastman House, Restonic and Therapedic.
Leading innerspring producers, including Leggett & Platt and Hickory Springs, are key exhibitors at the show, as are leading foam producers, including Hickory Springs, Carpenter, Flexible Foam and FXI Foamex Innovations. Latex foam producers, including Latex International, Latexco and Radium Foam, are also key exhibitors.
Here's a brief look at some of the introductions slated for the ISPA Expo:
-
Creative Ticking will introduce Tiotec Free TCF Decorative Knitted Tickings, and Springs Creative will offer a complete line of TCF knitted interliners under the Firegard brand umbrella. Those lines resulted from new licensing and distribution efforts for TCF (totally chlorine free) FR rayon-based fire barriers, yarns and finished products announced by Ventex.
-
Deslee is showing three new mattress fabrics as part of its “Sleeping Tomorrow” show theme. Reborn is a polyester fiber made from recycled plastic water bottles that produces soft, flexible ticking. The ThermoCool Eco offering is made of reusable fibers and offers year-round thermo regulation and comfort, while the EcoFair fabrics feature organically cultivated cotton, the company said.
-
Natura is showing its new honeycomb gel designs. The Canadian-based producer recently acquired NexGel, has added gel to its product lineup, and is offering gel designs to other producers.
-
Pratrivero (formerly Soltex) is showing a new line of FR filler cloth, as well as a new FR damask. The company will be showing its complete new line of ticking, including stitch bond, satin warp knit, damask, matelasse and circular knit designs.
