Art Van stores adding Paul's TV department

WARREN, Mich. —
Art Van Furniture will add Paul's TV departments to all 31 of its full-line stores this year, beginning with five metro Detroit showrooms next month.
The store-within-a-store format will range from 2,500 to 3,000 square feet and will feature big-screen television and audio products from Samsung, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, LG and Sharp as well as audio from Bose, Yamaha, Polk Audio and Definitive Technology, said Paul's President Babak Ghaznavi.
In keeping with Art Van's next-day delivery policy, Paul's also will offer same-day or next-day delivery, in-home setup and recycling of old TVs.
Paul's is a Los-Angeles-based consumer electronics retailer that has been in business for more than 47 years. A few years ago, it installed a store-within-a-store concept at Living Spaces, the Top 100 company based in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., and last year, Paul's opened areas in Jordan's Furniture stores in greater Boston.
The joint venture with Art Van will begin in March at the Warren, Lakeside, Westland, Royal Oak and Taylor, Mich., stores. Other stores will have Paul's departments by September.
“We are responding to the overwhelming demand from our guests who enjoyed our recent furniture and television package promotions,” Art Van founder and Chairman Art Van Elslander said.
