GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Furniture care provider Guardsman and The Furniture Training Co. have partnered to launch an online furniture protection sales training program that will be available free on Guardsman's website.
Greg Perkins, national sales manager for Guardsman, said The Furniture Training Co. has a "documented track record for creating online furniture sales training (programs) that significantly increase the sales of thousands of furniture sale associates. We wanted training that changed selling behaviors and they're delivered."
The Guardsman training program consists of 10 interactive modules that show furniture sales associates how to increase their sales of furniture protection products and services.
The companies said associates learn to explain what each of the Guardsman plans protect, how to introduce protection plans to customers during the selling process, how to present relevant plan benefits, and how to close the sale. Store owners and managers can monitor associates' progress through the training program.
