KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Ashley Furniture Inds. will show in nearly 3,000 square feet at the first
Kansas City Furniture & Accessory Market Sept. 13-14, according to show organizer Karel Exposition Management.
It will be Ashley’s first time exhibiting with Karel Exposition Management, KEM said. The upcoming show will take place in the Kansas City International Expo Center,11730 N. Ambassador Drive.
“We are thrilled that Ashley will have a strong presence at our first-ever Kansas City market. It is exciting news and it also proves what I have been saying for many years. In this day and age, one must bring the merchandise to the buyers,” said Larry Karel, president of KEM.
Florida-based Karel Exposition Management produces regional furniture and accessory trade shows in cities around the country. The company aims to provide cost-effective venues for exhibitors and buyers to conduct business. In particular, it serves many retailers who don’t have the time or money to attend the big national furniture markets, Karel said.
“Don’t look for lavish parties or trendy seminars. These are no-frills shows. At the end of the day, the show managers turn out the lights and everyone leaves for the day,” he said.
“Buyers can drive to the show in their own hometown,” he added. “Attendees have the opportunity to meet new sources exhibiting furniture, bedding, lighting and decorative accessories.”
