ATLANTA — Richard Reichick has joined leather upholstery producer Violino as president of sales and marketing for the Americas.
Reichick, most recently sales manager for Italian leather producer DeCoro, is an industry veteran who has worked in the upholstery sector for more than 30 years. He was previously sales manager for Bauhaus USA, and began his career as a furniture buyer for Bloomingdales, New York.
Karl Woll of Karl Woll Agencies in Vancouver, British Columbia, will manage sales for Violino in Canada. Woll, also formerly of DeCoro, reports to Reichick.
Reichick reports to Hong Yau, owner and managing director of Violino, who said, “We are very excited to have Richard and Karl join our team. They understand the leather furniture business and have many close relationships with North American retailers.”
Earlier this year, Michael Elkhatib left as vice president of sales and marketing for Violino to join a South American manufacturer.
Violino, a 14-year-old manufacturer in Shenzhen, China, produces more than 500 containers of leather upholstery per month. Capacity is expected to double with the completion of a new factory in mid-2009.
