Bernie & Phyl's executive shares battle with multiple sclerosis

NORTON, Mass. — Phyllis Rubin, co-founder of Top 100 retailer Bernie & Phyl's Furniture, is opening up about her decades-long struggle with multiple sclerosis.Boston television station WCVB said Rubin and husband Bernie Rubin will talk about the health battle and their effort to hide it on the local "Chronicle" program tonight at 7:30 p.m. She told the station the disease left her blind in one eye and numb from her hips down and that she will be appearing in public service announcements about the disease.
