Awards
Bedmart
Phoenix — Duke Pollock, vice president of sales and marketing for bedding retailer Bedmart, was honored by the Muscular Dystrophy Assn. at its annual 'Phoenix's Most Wanted Reception' for his work and for the commitment of all Bedmart employees to the MDA.
The reception honored "big-hearted, influential individuals" in the Phoenix area.
"Bedmart's commitment to the MDA is on-going," said Pollock. "We support them in many ways — from encouraging our customers to make a donation to involving our manufacturers. In fact, Tempur-pedic donated pillows to those attending the 'Most Wanted' event."
Simmons Mattress donated a World Class set through Bedmart and Southerland donated a king size mattress set.
"MDA is able to raffle these sets off and generate income many times the amount of the original donation," said Pollock.
Bedmart is based in Arizona and has 27 locations throughout the state. The company was started in Tucson in 1988.
