WOODBURY, N.Y. — Jennifer Convertibles' common stock began trading on the Over the Counter Bulletin Board Monday following the expected delisting from the Amex stock exchange. The ticker symbol for the Top 100 company's shares is JENN.
The Woodbury, N.Y-based retailer, which operates 144 sofa-sleeper specialty stores, 13 Jennifer Leather stores and five Ashley Furniture HomeStores, said last month it was preparing to go onto the Bulletin Board after failing to meet the Amex listing requirements, because its stockholders' equity was below $2 million and it had reported losses in two of its three most recent fiscal years.
