HIGH POINT —
Esquire Home, a new line of upholstery, occasional, rugs and home décor pieces reflecting the philosophy of “Man at His Best,” will debut at next month's High Point Market.
Hearst Brand Development, a unit of Esquire magazine publisher Hearst, and furniture licensee Halo announced the line last week.
Glen Ellen Brown, vice president of the Hearst unit, and Timothy Oulton, owner and creative director of Halo, said in a press release that the line will capture “a lifestyle focused on luxury, sophistication and comfort — with a unique furniture collection that every man will want to own.”
Upholstery will feature distressed leathers, neutral twills and tweeds, as in menswear. Other product features include polished nickel finishes and black glass, evoking a cool and contemporary style.
“We feel the Esquire design philosophy and Halo's masculine style combine to create the ultimate men's collection,” said Oulton.
Esquire is a 77-year-old publication that Hearst calls the original men's magazine.
Halo will show the line in its space in the International Home Furnishings Center, InterHall 207. The company also shows at 212 N. Main St., but won't have the Esquire product there. The market runs April 17-22.
Information on the number of SKUs in the line or price points was not immediately available.
Another licensee will be the source of the line's rugs, although Halo will show rugs with the furniture. The name of the rug licensee wasn't immediately available.
