ENFIELD, Conn. —
Industry veteran Tom Liddell has joined sales promotion specialist Planned Furniture Promotions as vice president of sales and marketing, a new position at the company.
Since September, Liddell had been senior vice president of sales and marketing for CR International, the newly created import division of Chromcraft Revington. Previously, he was a sales executive at Powell Co. for nine years and also had worked for Berkline, Catnapper and Craftmaster Furniture during his 29 years in the industry.
At PFP, Liddell will work with furniture retailers that are considering high-impact sales promotions. He also will oversee national marketing and Internet efforts.
PFP also announced that Mark Bannon, who had been vice president of sales and was with the company for nearly 30 years, is leaving to pursue a new business venture with his wife, Amy, outside the furniture industry.
As of last week, Chromcraft Revington had not announced a replacement for Liddell.
PFP officials praised Liddell's experience and ability.
“Tom's creativity, numerous contacts and knowledge of the furniture industry, together with Planned Furniture Promotions' unique business model, strong financial position and skilled professionals, will ensure that our retail clients, large and small, will achieve their goals and needs,” said Roy Hester, senior vice president of sales.
